Month: February 2017

Born 29 March 1962 – Died 26 February 2017

It is with great sadness that we have to inform everybody at Alphington FC and in the wider Alphington community that we lost our very dear friend Lewis on Sunday 26 February.

Lewis was playing football with the Over 45s on Sunday morning when he had a heart attack. Fellow players administered CPR until the paramedics arrived but they were unable to revive him. Lewis passed away on the football pitch, playing the game he loved and surrounded by his many friends.

There will be many others in the Alphington community who knew Lewis as the smiling, amiable, unflappable driving instructor from the Lucky Star Driving School.

Lewis was a gorgeous, generous and caring man who always had time for people. We will miss him very much but we will remember him with an enormous amount of love.

We will keep you informed of funeral arrangements and other possible tributes.

RIP Lewis
