AGM – All Members and Parents Invited – 29 May 8pm

Alphington Football Club is holding it’s AGM on Monday night (29th May) in the Alphington Park Clubrooms at 8 PM. The Committee encourages as many members and parents as possible to attend. The official business of the AGM will be expeditious leaving us time to enjoy a small social gathering. The Club will provide cheese and biscuits, tea and coffee. BYO anything else you would like to enjoy.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Interim Club President

Call for Over 45s

Dear Football Loving Parents

We thought you might like to know (if you don’t already) that Alphington FC runs 2 Over 45s Mens Teams (as well as open age seniors, both men and women).

Over 45s are still looking for players, and provided you are over 40, you are eligible. If you are interested please contact Nigel Odell at or call 0418 354639.

If you sign up for Over 45s you will be able to play in one of the two teams during the winter season (matches are either Friday evening or Saturday afternoon) as well as join in our social football programme during the summer months. We play all year round so the older muscles don’t stiffen up too much.

The Over 45s competition we play in is organised by Eltham Redbacks and is designed to be more of a social league than a competitive league. All games will be played either at Alphington Park or in Eltham so there is no extensive travelling all over Melbourne.

If you are female and keen to play please contact our Senior Women’s coach Mick McCoy and if you are male and under 40 and keen to play you could make contact with our Senior Men’s Coach, Greg McLeod.

Imagine your little ones also being able to watch you play, and of course you get to stay fit too.

The Men’s Over 45s is run by the people who originally founded the Junior Club and still includes many of the original Committee Members so you’ll also find out more about the history of the club by joining us. Our Senior Coach, Greg McLeod, was also one of the founding members of the Junior Club. And many of us still live in the Alphington Community.

I look forward to welcoming you to a more leisurely form of football.

Kind Regards

Nigel Odell
